Pushing the Boundaries of Dentistry

When it comes to computers and phones, great advances are made every single year. Thankfully, the same progress can be seen in dental technology, and we take advantage of it as much as we can at Smile Castle Rock. Our dentists use their decades of experience as well as some of the latest instruments to make your dental care as precise, comfortable, and predictable as possible.

Digital Dental Impressions

Dentist about to take digital impressions of teeth during dental checkup

We often need to take an impression of a patient’s mouth before giving them veneers, dentures, or a variety of other treatments. Rather than creating a physical model by having someone bite into a mold filled with putty, we can instead just scan the mouth with a small handheld device. The process takes only a few minutes, doesn’t create a mess, and generates a highly detailed 3D model of the teeth and bite we can send to our lab that will ensure a fine-looking and perfectly fitting result.

Soft Tissue Laser

Our BluWave soft tissue laser enables us to quickly and comfortably treat patients with mild to moderate gum disease. A concentrated beam of light instantly vaporizes tartar buildup below the gum line, all while sanitizing the area and cauterizing blood vessels to greatly reduce post-treatment bleeding and soreness. We can also use it to perform cosmetic gum recontouring, where we can easily remove excess or uneven gum tissue to create a beautifully framed and balanced smile in a single appointment.

Intraoral Camera

Dentist giving a patient a dental exam

Rather than simply using a bright light to look into your mouth, our intraoral camera allows us to capture close-up, high-resolution images of your teeth and gums we can display on a monitor right next to the treatment chair. This approach helps our team perform more thorough exams, plus we can go over what the camera finds with you to give you a much deeper understanding of your oral health.
