DIY Teeth Whitening

If you want to try DIY Teeth whitening, then you should know all the different methods and ways of doing it. You also want to make sure you follow all the directions as this is not a process that you should take lightly, it can be dangerous if it’s done wrong. It can also be messy depending on the method of teeth whitening that you choose. So, let’s get into it, shall we? Here are some different ways that you can whiten your teeth at home.

First, teeth whitening strips. This is a method that pretty much everyone is familiar with as it is the most commonly promoted method in supermarkets. You can find teeth whitening strips in almost any toothpaste and bathroom section of your local store and they are cheap when comparing the price to other alternatives. The trick with these is that you place them over your teeth and wear them throughout the day. You should avoid eating anything while wearing them, this could change depending on the brand you get, and you should not wear them constantly as the chemicals in them can damage your teeth, but that is a risk with all of the DIY whitening kits.

Another DIY teeth whitening trick is to use Coconut oil to pull the yellow out of your teeth. This process is safe to do, and it involves swishing the coconut oil in your mouth for about 15 to 20 minutes. You can do this daily and within a week you notice that your teeth are a lot whiter than they were before. This process can be slow, but it is a lot safer than the other methods out there.

Brushing your teeth with baking soda. This sounds a lot weirder than it is, you make a toothpaste by mixing baking soda with peroxide and water and brush that on your teeth. The issue with this method is that you can’t brush hard and you should not do it often. The peroxide is dangerous for your enamel and will damage your teeth. It works to make them whiter, but you should be very gentle and you shouldn’t use this as a solo method. Use this one maybe once a month and you should be fine.

Use apple cider as a mouthwash. A lot like the coconut oil, apple cider vinegar can pull color from things. If you use it as toothpaste and mouthwash, you can make your teeth a lot brighter. It doesn’t taste the best, and the vinegar isn’t the best for your teeth but it is safer than the peroxide.

Last, we have a charcoal mix. This is a method that people swear by. It is a scary process to watch as you have to put a wet toothbrush into the charcoal powder and brush it on your teeth for about 5 minutes. Your entire mouth will turn black and you will have to brush and rinse to clean it, but everyone says that this will make your teeth a lot whiter. It’s safe as long as you do not swallow the charcoal and it washes right out if you don’t like it. If you want a reliable method, then this might be the method you should choose.
